Church Uses Trayvon Martin in Nativity Scene Instead of Christ

Just when you thought the whole Zimmerman-Trayvon Martin scandal was over, the Claremont United Methodist Church has attempted to reignite the racial tinderbox by staging a nativity scene in which Jesus Christ has been replaced by a bleeding Trayvon Martin. The scene features silhouettes of Mary and Joseph standing next to Trayvon Martin, who is sitting on the manger, hunched over, with blood pouring from a hole in his chest.

The words "A child is born, a son is given" are written in the blood.

Here's a link to some photos of the shocking nativity scene:

The artist claims pictures of the shooting of Trayvon Martin in 2012 made him think of Jesus laying on the ground bleeding to death. After seeing pictures of the nativity scene, I can't help but point out the obvious. Jesus wasn't shot because he was smashing a neighborhood watchperson's head into the ground and Trayvon Martin didn't die for our sins.

That is, unless you're the most liberal of liberals. Then you truly might see Mr. Martin as a messiah.
